Now in its 20th year of publication, The MARSH REPORT is the best source of data and interpretation on major sales in Canada's prime market, the Greater Toronto Area.
Our territory includes the regions of Durham, Halton, Peel and York and the City of Toronto. It has a population of almost six million and experiences more than half of Ontario's major real estate sales.
The Report's long-term subscribers are found among Toronto's leading real estate investment firms, financial institutions, real estate brokers, appraisers and government departments. Many have been users for more than ten years.
The Report describes and interprets sales priced at $1,000,000 or more. Property types include land, house lots, industrial and office buildings, hotels, apartment buildings, retail stores and shopping centres, but not houses. Since March 2005, new sales of under $1,500,000 are noted in summary form only on the marshnet.com site.

Internet Database
Our site at www.MarshNet.com is accessed by passwords. The database displays details of sales registered since the beginning of 1989, along with interactive maps and earth satellite photos for each sale. There were files on over 16,000 sales at the beginning of 2008.
Files are opened there a few days after sale registration, while new data are added on a daily basis after we do additional research. Colour photos and site plans are included.
A master menu allows sales to be searched and sorted by such criteria as municipality, property type, date of sale, street address, building size and buyers' names.
There's a wordsearch feature that allows thousands of files to be searched for such key words as company names, plans of subdivisions and addresses.
A spreadsheet feature allows lists of sales to be instantly converted to tables for further data manipulation.
Quarterly Hard Copy Books
Produced in March, June, September & December, they present sales closed over preceding three-month periods and duplicate the detailed files on the internet site. Recent issues, in two volumes titled "Land" and "Buildings," have had over 600 pages and over 300 sales each. New subscribers will receive as a bonus the two most recent back issues, giving them a total of six books in their first year. These books make excellent long-term library references.
Password Use
Passwords are issued in confidence to one person in the subscriber's organization. That person controls their distribution to the staff. Several people may use the passwords, 24 hours a day, at any computer with internet access. The passwords are subject to change at any time.
Price
These services are sold as one package in a one-year subscription costing $3,400 including GST of 5%.
For internet service only, the annual price is $3,100 including tax.
The fee is payable in a single installment or with four post-dated cheques of $850 or $775 each or with four invoiced installments of $875 or $800 each.

Payment is by cheque. We don't use credit cards.
